It Would Have Been Her 50th Birthday
Fraser facepalm
vagabondage (Zen) was one of my most favorite people, not only in fandom but also IRL. I can't even begin to quantify how much light is gone from the world with her gone...or how much light is still to be found in the memories and her fic and her vids.

I used to always treat her for dinner out on the Friday before or after her birthday, so this is a weekend particularly filled with my thoughts of her.

I have been working on a poem about her -- I wanted to post it here for what would have been her 50th birthday -- but it's still too painful because the poem got its start when it was going to be given to her rather than "just" about her.

*torn between crying for Zen not here or smiling for all the years she was*

*hugs* It's always hard to lose a friend. When it's a much loved one, it's even hard. My thoughts are with you!

I love my best friend to cancer, too. We hates it.

*hugs and clings* If you wrote something in your LJ that you want known and remembered about that friend, and if you want to share the link, I will read it with sympathy and empathy.

I haven't. She passed many years ago, long before I was a part of LJ. I've done my mourning for her and now do my best to remember her with laughter and love, just as she'd want me to do.

Long before you were a part of LJ...ah...I assume a very long time then. I'm still close to the beginning of what is to be experienced in loss and in remembrance.

It was nearly 15 years ago. Boy, how time flies. You'd think I'd miss her less, but I really don't.

I am so sorry. I hope your memories comfort you.

TYK. The memories are good ones.

It is so hard to lose a loved one.

I'm so sorry for your loss, petal. ♥

Her memory is a blessing. Her good works on earth endure.
